About Petitions

A petition is a statement about a local issue, supported by the signatures of local residents or those directly affected.

An e-Petition is a petition which collect signatures online. This allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to a potentially much wider audience than a traditional paper based petition.

Anyone who lives, works or studies in Aylesbury Vale can create or sign an e-Petition.  However, before you create or sign your first e-petition, you must register your details.

You may also like to start a paper petition, this works in exactly the same way as an e-petition except that you must hand the petition into the Council, a councillor or officer.  This can work well for collecting signatures in person.

If you have a paper petition which supplements an e-petition this must be received by the Head of Administration by the closing date for the e-petition.
