Inspecting audited accounts

Each year our accounts are audited and anyone interested can inspect and make copies of the accounts and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them.

For the year ending 31 March 2012 these documents will be available on application to the Finance Section, The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, Bucks from Wednesday 18 July 2012 to Wednesday 15 August  2012 inclusive, between 10am and 4pm.

Local government electors and their representatives also have:

• The opportunity to question the auditor about the accounts. The auditor will be at the Gateway Offices for this purpose on Thursday 16 August 2012 and after that date will be available at their Oxford office until the completion of the audit.
• The right to attend before the auditor and make objections to the accounts or any items in them. Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the council.

  Mr Mick West, of the Audit Commission, Unit 5, ISIS Business Centre, Horspath Road, Cowley, Oxford. OX4 2RD, is carrying out the audit and it will be conducted under the provision of Sections 15 and 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998.
