How do I pay my council tax?
Direct Debit
Direct Debit payments are taken directly from your bank account. The scheme is our most simple and cost effective method of payment. It will save you time and help us because we do not have to chase you for payment. There are no cheques to write and no paperwork or postage each month. You will be advised at least 10 working days in advance to any changes to your instalments so you can remain in complete control of your bank account.
To pay by Direct Debit you can call us on 01296 585299 and we can take your bank details over the telephone. Alternatively please see the bottom of this page to download a form to print, complete and return it to us.
Internet bill payment and standing orders
You can use internet banking to set up bill payments to send us the requested instalments. If you do not use internet banking then you can contact your bank to send us regular payments as a standing order.

Cash Payments
The cash offices in Aylesbury, Buckingham and Winslow have closed. Should you wish to pay by cash then you can take your latest bill, which will have a barcode printed on it, to either a Post Office, or any of the PayPoint payment locations accross the Aylesbury Vale area.
