Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership

Aylesbury Town centre management aims to address competition faced by town centres from out-of-town and edge-of centre retail developments and from other urban centres. It promotes every aspect of a high quality customer and visitor experience. Problems affecting town centres can best be addressed through a partnership that involves businesses, retailers, the local authority, statutory agencies, community groups and residents.

The wide range of direct and indirect benefits that result from town centre management include:

  • The promotion of a positive image for the town
  • A better perception of the town centre amongst retailers, businesses, visitors and residents
  • Increased footfall
  • Enhanced business prosperity

It is a partnership between AVDC, Bucks County Council, Thames Valley Police and local businesses. Meetings are held every 2 months in different members’ premises. The current chairman is Roger Simmons, Manager of Hale Leys shopping centre.
