Additional Mandatory Conditions

The new mandatory conditions introduced in section 19A of the 2003 Act (eg governing irresponsible promotions) were introduced in April 2010.

Unlike the existing mandatory conditions (eg the requirement for a Designated Premises Supervisor under section 19 of the 2003 Act), they do not have to be physically included in the licence or certificate but nonetheless will apply to every licence and certificate authorising the sale and supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises.

However, like the existing mandatory conditions, the new mandatory conditions do not apply to activities (including the supply of alcohol) authorised by a temporary event notice.
