The aim of the strategy is to set a clear framework for the procurement of goods, works and services and to reflect the Council's aims and objectives whilst working within the framework of Best Value and the Contract Procedure Rules.
Our procurement strategy is a two year plan to help achieve the following objectives:
- To provide focus and vision for procurement within the council.
- To identify and promote the benefits of strategic procurement.
- To ensure all procurement is based upon accountability, transparency, continuous improvement and fair competition.
- Where appropriate, work together with other public sector bodies.
