Anti-social behaviour
Anti-social behaviour is a catch-all phrase for a range of nuisance and low-level criminality that makes other people's lives a misery.
We use the legal definition from the Crime & Disorder Act 1998: behaviour which causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more people who are not in the same household as the perpetrator. It also includes fear of crime or concern for public safety, public disorder or public nuisance.
AVDC and Thames Valley Police have a Public Safety Team for Aylesbury Vale, made up of Police and Council Staff. It is important that you are aware that emails sent to the antisocial behaviour email address are recieved by a members of this team so the information is shared with the police. We do this to help us to deal with antisocial behaviour as effectively as possible.
