Engage with community safety
This section is about how you can engage with community safety and also looks at what you have already told us
If you want to engage with us, tell us about issues, be part of the partnership or be involved in plans let us know. We would encourage and welcome anyone who wants to be part of community safety and there are so many ways you can do this.
• Tell us what you want to see in your community, what needs to change or what works well
• Help us write and direct our plans
• Join your local NAG
• Offer your opinions and information when we consult
• Speak to people in your community and tell the partnership about specific community concerns
• Come along to our events such as the community safety day in June or the county show
There are many other things you can do to engage with us. We are also trying new ways of improving the way we engage. We understand that it’s not simply down to you to make the effort and with the partnership and the community taking an active interest to talk to each other we will be able to meet your and our needs more effectively.
In 2007/2008 AVDC and Thames Valley police carried out research to find out about your views on policing, crime and partners. This was called MAVEN research and looked at each neighbourhood in specific detail to address priorities and concerns.
The results can be viewed in the document below.
