Grants

We provide advice, support and financial assistance to help voluntary organisations, clubs, societies and parish councils within Aylesbury Vale to provide projects that enhance and develop facilities for the local community and improve the quality of life for all our residents.

Grants are available both directly from AVDC and through the new Community Chest for Aylesbury Vale.

We have project grants available up to 50% of the cost of the project up to a maximum of £10,000.

The Community Chest has several streams of funding, including easily accessible micro-grants of up to £1,000 and project grants up to £25,000.

More information on these grants is available by following the links in the menu on the left hand side of this page.

You can also carry out your own searches for available sources of funding from other funders including the European Union, the National Lottery, trusts and foundations by using the free Grantnet service on the link below.

Consultation on funding to the voluntary and community sector for 2010 - 2013

To help inform the next period of funding to the local voluntary and community sector and plan for the future, the council asked you for your views in February - April 2009.  A summary of this consultation exercise can be found below.

Following the review of our funding programme, recommendations on changes to the funding programme have been considered by the council's Communities Scrutiny Committee, and a formal decision regarding the changes from April 2010 will be taken in June.  After this, details of changes to the grants scheme, which wil come into effect from April 2010, will be made available.

The formal report to the Scrutiny Committee is available on this website, or follow the quick link below.
