Cabinet
The Cabinet, which has nine members and a leader, each with a specific area of responsibility (portfolio), is at the heart of the Council’s day-to-day decision making process. Their role is to develop, propose and implement policy. The cabinet meets every month on Tuesdays at 6.15pm. The meetings are open to the public and the council welcomes people attending to hear the debate and discussion.
The Leader of the Council chairs meetings of the Cabinet and co-ordinates its activities. Each of the nine cabinet members has a specific area of responsibility broadly based on our services.
The Cabinet's Forward Plan gives details of items to be considered by cabinet members during the coming year. Follow the link below to see more information on the Cabinet's Forward Plan.
