The Freedom of Information Act
The Freedom of Information Act is a new law, designed to give you access to information that we hold. You can make requests for specific pieces of information. Please note that all requests for information under the Act must be in writing.
Finding information under the Freedom of Information Act?
We keep hundreds of types of records and documents. Many are available for inspection by the public and are listed in our Publications Scheme. Before you request information from us, you should first check to see if the information you want is listed in the Publications Scheme. Follow the link below to the Publications Scheme.
The Publications Scheme tells you:
- what information we publish
- how this information is published
- how you can obtain a copy of the information you want
- if the information is available free of charge or, if a charge is payable
