Community Governance Review

The council has commenced a Community Governance Review under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007.

The purpose of the review is to enable the council to consider what changes are needed to the parish arrangements within the district.

A review is needed now to deal with two specific issues:

  • To consider the creation of a Parish Council for Quarrendon Parish, which includes the housing development known as Berryfields.
  • Any requests to change the number of councillors on Town and Parish Councils ready for the 2015 elections. Aylesbury Town, Buckingham Town and Ivinghoe are excluded from this review as the Local Government Boundary Commission for England is proposing revised parish electoral arrangements for these areas as part of their review of district wards.

The first stage of the review process is to invite residents and interested organisations to submit their views on the above issues by 25 July 2014.

The council has published its Terms of Reference Document for the review which can be viewed by clicking on the following link.
