Election of a Police and CrimeCommissioner for the Thames Valley Region
On Thursday 15 November 2012, there will be the first election of a Police and Crime Commissioner for the area covered by the Thames Valley Police Force, ie Berks, Bucks and Oxon.
It is anticipated that the count will take place the following day, Friday 16 November 2012.
Please note that:
• More information on this election will be provided from summer 2012 onwards.
• In the meantime, information about the creation and role of Police and Crime Commissioners is available from the Home Office website accessible from the link below.
• Those interested in standing for election as Police and Crime Commissioner will need to liaise with the Police Area Returning Officer for the Thames Valley. Please contact the electoral services team either on the telephone number or at the email address below.
