Notice of Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places
Sections 18A to 18E of the Representation of the People Act 1983
Each local authority is required to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a regular five-yearly cycle.
We are looking for feedback on any aspect of the allocated polling area or polling station used and invite representations and comments from interested persons. Local political parties and councillors will be consulted and views are invited from residents as well as such groups or organisations as may have particular expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability.
The Local Government Boundary Commission’s final recommendations on Aylesbury Vale’s District Wards are due to be published on 1 July 2014. It is anticipated that there will be additional issues arising which will need to be factored in to this review as it develops.
Any elector in the Council’s area can make representations, which may include proposals for alternative polling places.
Representations should be in writing by 18 July 2014. A submission form can be downloaded from the link below.
