Notice of Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

Sections 18A to 18E of the Representation of the People Act 1983

Each local authority is required to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a regular five-yearly cycle.

The first part of the review has taken place and the General Purposes Committee met on 19 August to consider the initial consultation which took place during June and July 2014 and the comments received during the consultation period from Members, Town and Parish Councils, political parties, Bucks County Council and residents of the Vale. The General Purposes Committee agreed the draft proposals at their meeting on 19 August and the second stage of the review is to consult further and seek input. The consultation period for the second stage has now closed and a report is going to General Purposes Committee on 18 November 2014 with its final recommendations going to full Council on 3 December 2014.
