Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places
Sections 18A to 18E of the Representation of the People Act 1983
Each local authority is required to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a regular four-yearly cycle.
During the second half of 2011 feedback was requested from interested parties on any aspect related to allocated polling areas or polling stations.
Interested parties included residents, local political parties, councillors and other groups and organisations that had particular expertise relating to access to premises or facilities.
On 16 November the council's general purposes committee approved the draft proposals subject to a change at Wotton Underwood. The minutes of this meeting may be accessed by using the link below.
