Summary of Quarterly performance against the corporate plan targets and a variety of performance indicators.

From 1 April 2008 we have to report against a new National Indicator Set, which has replaced the Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs). With this change, and the introduction of a new Corporate Plan, the content and method of publication of the quarterly performance digest has been reviewed.

The digest now includes the information listed below, presented in this order in 4 sections – one for each of our scrutiny committees.

• A quarterly progress report on the actions and targets within the new Corporate Plan. This is provided as: a commentary based on the progress against the action plans provided by lead officers, with an alert symbol for this quarter’s performance and a forecast for the year.
• Quarterly progress on Local Area Agreement targets, where AVDC is involved in the delivery of the target.
• Quarterly progress on those National Indicators which are the responsibility of the council alone or in partnership and are not reported as part of the above.
• Quarterly progress on the current list of mission critical indicators. These are due to be reviewed by the scrutiny chairmen in the autumn.
