The council has developed a sustainable construction guide which provides an overview of some of the technologies available for construction.

This document has been prepared by Aylesbury Vale District Council and is intended to be a best practice guide for developers on ‘sustainable’ design for buildings and the wider built environment. It focuses on the conservation and efficient use of energy, water, construction materials and land, and also on developing opportunities for more sustainable lifestyles.

Although not all aspects of the advisory guide will necessarily be relevant or appropriate to every development, the council encourages developers to apply the principles laid out within the guide in new developments.
