Star Awards - Highly Commended
The council's Sustainability Team has won a number of awards in recognition of the work done to improve the energy efficiency of the council's estate, its communities and businesses.
The council received a Highly Commended Award from the Sustainable FM Awards in 2010 for Most Sustainable Public Sector Organisation – Local Authority. An article outlining how we won this award can be downloaded below.
The Sustainability Team also received a Highly Commended Award from the internal Star Awards in 2011 under the category 'Finding Better Ways of Doing Things at Less Cost' for the carbon savings the council has been able to achieve.
