Animal licensing

A licence is required for all kinds of establishments that keep animals (including home boarding), including where you intend to keep a dangerous animal as a pet. This ensures that premises have sufficient space, accommodation and water etc, minimises stress to animals, reduces the risk of infectious disease and generally promotes good welfare conditions.

In addition, the controls on riding establishments and dangerous wild animals are designed to ensure public safety. The types of animals that are licensed cover a broad range from ostriches to racoons. We are happy to offer advice on any animal licence.
