If the Dog Warden has to pick up a stray dog, that dog will be taken to kennels. To re-claim the dog the owner will be charged £25, plus kennelling costs. If you see a stray dog, please call the Dog Warden service on (01296) 585200.

Be safe - collar and tag

A collar and tag is an ideal way to help identify your dog. To ensure your dog is returned to you safe and sound, you should see that your dog wears his identity tag.

By law all dogs on the highway or in a public place must wear a collar and identity tag. You could be fined up to £5,000 if you don't.
