Pests in your home or garden can be a nuisance. For advice on dealing with common household pests and information about the treatments offered by the council then please see the link on the left.

Please see links at the bottom of this page that will give you advice concerning pests that are not treated by the council such as badgers, foxes, snakes etc.

Insect Identification

The council offers a free insect identification and advice service to enable you to treat household pests yourself.  Please bring a specimen in an airtight, transparent container, together with your contact details and we will advise you accordingly.  Please can you collect the insect without damaging it as a crushed insect is hard to identify.
