Public recycling sites in Aylesbury Vale

There are around one hundred recycling bank sites around the district, with facilities to recycle a variety of household materials from aluminium foil, glass bottles and textiles.

The council is always looking for new ways to encourage people to recycle more of their waste more often, by ensuring that it is easy and convenient to get into the recycling habit.  In response to resident demand, we have increased the number of cardboard recycling banks at our large recycling sites.  We have also introduced 7 new cardboard banks across the district.

NEW SITE OPENED!

A new site has opened at the B & Q store in Aylesbury.  The large site will enable residents to recycle all their glass bottles and jars, paper, plastics, cans and cardboard.  Third party recycling banks will also be placed at the site so that residents can recycling aluminium foil and textiles.

The council clean the recycling sites regularly , however please ensure you leave the sites clean and free from litter.  Either please take your un-recyclable rubbish home with you, or use the refuse bins where provided.  Do not leave bags or boxes of recyclables on the floor, not only does it look unsightly but it also encourages other to dump their waste.  Dumping waste at recycling sites is considered as flytipping, and appropriate action will be taken where possible.

Please Note:  These recycling facilities are for domestic waste ONLY. These sites should NOT be used for depositing commercial waste.   This is considered as flytipping and is an offence that carries a fine of up to £50 000.
