Can I trace friends or relatives using the Electoral Register?

No. The Register is protected by the Data Protection Act and is only to be used for the following:

• Electoral purposes
• Crime prevention and detection
• To enable Credit Reference Agencies to fulfil their obligations under Money Laundering Regulations and to allow for the vetting of credit applications.
