Affordable warmth
Many of us find it difficult to pay for our fuel, especially in the winter months. This could be because our home needs a lot of energy to warm up, because we are on a limited income, or because we waste some of the energy we use. Those who are very old or very young and those who are home all day such as the unemployed and the housebound are at particular risk of ill health. This is because they are either more vulnerable to disease or because they spend longer periods in a poorly heated home. According to National Energy Action 23% of all households in the UK are in this situation. That could mean over 15,000 households in Aylesbury Vale.
