Our Mutual Exchange Register is for housing association tenants who want to move within the District. The register is a way for tenants to advertise their home to try and find another housing association tenant to swap with.
Please be aware that if you live in a property adapted for disabled people or sheltered housing for the elderly you can only swap with someone who needs this kind of property.
If you find a tenant you want to swap with you must both get your landlords permission to carry out the exchange before you make any firm arrangements to move.
To view the mutual exchange register please download your choice of lists from those below.
To join the register you can download and print off the application form at the bottom of this page.
The register is also available in the reception area in the following Council offices:
- 66 High Street Aylesbury
- Buckingham Centre, Verney Close, Buckingham
- 28 High Street Winslow.
If you wish to supply a photograph of your home with your application (no larger than 6 x 4 inches) of either an external or internal shot, we can include this on your property advert in the Council offices. Unfortunately we will be unable to return your photograph.
We will review all entries on the register every year but please let us know immediately if you wish your name to be removed. Entries on the website are updated on a monthly basis.
If you are looking to move outside the Aylesbury Vale area you can access a number of national mutual exchange registers detailed on the Governments website. There is also a company called Homeswapper which offer a national mutual exchange register.
