Aylesbury Street Festival
This stimulating festival provides an exciting mix of music and theatre from around the world. The festival takes place every Saturday throughout the school summer holidays with performances at 11.30am and 1pm. All performances are free.

Buckingham Festival Fortnight
Buckingham Town Council, Aylesbury Vale District Council and many community groups provide a fortnight of entertainment and activities for the whole community.

Buckingham Festival of Music and Drama
The Buckingham Festival of Music and Drama is an opportunity for amateur musicians, singers and actors/speakers to perform in front of friendly audiences and professional Adjudicators. Class winners are awarded medals. Those interested should visit our website for the Syllabus and an Entry Form. The Festival is held annually in November - this year on Friday evening 20th November and Saturday 21st November. Entries must be received by Sunday 4th October.

Annual festival of classical music in July, comprising 18-20 concerts

Roald Dahl Festival
Annual festival celebrating the life and work of the famous children's author Roald Dahl.

  • Location: Town centre
  • Meeting frequency: 1st Saturday in July
  • Age range: all ages


The Short Cuts Film Festival

Short Cuts is a refreshing addition to the UK’s film festival calendar, dedicated to the screening of short films only. It is run by filmmakers, for filmmakers and is the county wide film festival for Buckinghamshire. Screenings will be held in Buckingham, Aylesbury and High Wycombe in October 2009. The festival will screen the best of new UK short films, a competition screening of films by local filmmakers in Bucks and surrounding counties and a series of special events. Programme is available in September.
