Come a watch the annual community event that brings together over 1,000 school children and an audience of approximately 5,000 to celebrate the imagination and work of Roald Dahl, author of our times.

Saturday 4 July, Aylesbury Town Centre, 11am - 3pm

Our spectacular Roald Dahl Festival always draws thousands of visitors to Aylesbury Town Centre. Come along for a scrumdiddlyumptious event brimfull with colour, noise, activities and entertainment for all the family to enjoy, whatever the weather
Line the streets ready for the spectacular Roald Dahl Parade, starting at 11am at St. Mary’s Church. This year’s theme is The Twits!

This year’s phizz-whizzing family activities:

Aylesbury Library, 10.30am to 3pm

Bucks County Museum and Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery, 11am to 4pm

St Mary’s Church, 11am – 3pm

Kingsbury, 11.30am to 3pm

Quirky crafts,
Roly Poly Crafts,
Plus live music from 12 noon to 2pm

See larger-than-life puppets and colourful artwork, made by children and young people in the local area will parade through the streets of Aylesbury, starting at St Mary’s Church. The parade’s sights are matched by the sound of boisterous samba and brass bands and street entertainers: sure to get you in the festival mood. And there’s a designated viewing area for wheelchair users at the top of Market Square.

So come along, join in the fun and visit Aylesbury’s biggest community arts calendar event!

The festival is organised by AVDC with help from our phiz-wizzing partners: Aylesbury Town Council, Mix 96, Chiltern Railways, and the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre.
