Parklife 2010 took place on the 5th and 6th September.
Saturday saw the park taken over by picnic blankets and flags as we celebrated the Proms in the Park with Aylesbury Community Concert Band. This annual event, hosted by Aylesbury Town Council, is always a great success with music for all the family and the inclusion of the traditional flag waving style of the Last Night of the Proms with Sea Shanties, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.
On Sunday Aylesbury residents had the chance to take part in a range of sports, including a fitness session with the Aqua Vale team, tag rugby, tennis, cricket, street sports, bowls and several inflatable games. There were also local sports clubs on hand with opportunities for everyone to get involved. Local youth bands played on the main stage throughout the day on Sunday providing an eclectic mix of Indie, Blues and Acoustic music.
