2012 Open Weekend
Your guide to free events in Aylesbury town centre.
Are you looking for free events in Aylesbury town centre? The 2012 Free Events Guide is available to download below, with over 300 free events listed this year.
2012 is set to be an exciting year, with the town centre hosting both Jubilee and Olympic celebrations. These are in addition to the well-established Thursday school holiday events, reading groups, museum exhibitions, live music and Roald Dahl day - to name but a few - that the town regularly enjoys.
Whilst you enjoy our events, why not recharge your batteries at one of our many cafes, restaurants or bistro pubs. Did you know that five new restaurants opened in the town in 2011? They include an Italian, Mexican, gastro pub and steak bars.
There is also a wide choice of national and independent shops to enjoy. Find a bargain at our charter market every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in the picturesque Market Square. Don’t forget our Farmers’ Market every fourth Tuesday of the month, selling local produce.
The annual Events Guide is produced by the Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership, a dynamic town team consisting of town centre businesses, the three local councils, Thames Valley Police, local organisations and residents. The free events programme is designed to draw people in to enjoy Aylesbury town centre and support the local businesses.
