Local Youth Councils

Young people are finding themselves increasingly marginalised in their local communities due to the continual negative stereotypes they are subject to. It is therefore important that young people are involved in the decisions made in the local community that affect them. Developing youth councils can act as a real means of incorporating young people into our communities and can lead to a safer, vibrant and sustainable community for all residents.

Below is a guide for 'establishing a youth council.'  Please read through this guide and consider the possibilities and benefits of a local youth council.

If you would like to discuss setting up a youth council or would like more information about getting involved please use the contact details at the bottom of the page.
