Allotments

Choose the healthy option! Fresh flowers, fruit, vegetables and fresh air! An allotment is a place to grow your own produce away from the road, where life moves at a different pace and where you can share time learning new skills with your family or take time out for yourself.

Allotments are easy to get started. You don’t have to be an experienced gardener or have to spend lots of time and money. All you really need are fresh ideas. Advice is always available from long time allotment holders and the friendly atmosphere and social aspects of allotment gardening complement any lifestyle.

For information about allotments In Aylesbury, please call Aylesbury Town Council on 01296 425678.

Gardening need not cost the earth

An allotment provides you with the opportunity to grow food without chemicals and pesticides. By gardening without peat you can also make sure your allotment is environmentally healthy. You can also compost on your allotment to reduce waste.

We can provide discounted compost bins and information on composting. By using a water butt, you will reduce the need for irrigation. Part of your allotment can be used to encourage wildlife.
