We are involved in caring for the landscape locally in a variety of ways.

Grass cutting

We cut grass on land that we own across the Vale. We also cut grass along highway verges and within most villages on behalf of the county council.  The total cut each year is approximately 3.5 million square metres. Most of the open spaces in Aylesbury, Buckingham and Winslow are cut 13 times a year, while elsewhere we cut 10 times per year. 
 
The grass cutting service is part of our overall grounds maintenance contract. Grounds Maintenance Limited was appointed in January 2005 to carry out this work and was awarded a contract for 7 years.
