Buckingham
Bucks

Description

Buckingham Railway Walk is a section of disused railway line. It was designated as a County Wildlife site in 2003. The site is managed by us and joins onto another section of disused railway with similar character to the south east which is owned and managed by Buckingham Town Council.

Travelling from the north to the south the initial section has an extended piece of woodland on the southern side. This is dominated by Hawthorn and Blackthorn which has formed a close canopy.

There is also the chance to see plenty of bird wildlife. Bird boxes have been erected through the woodland and are monitored annually by volunteers.
