We provide a healthy snack tea, a quiet homework area and an opportunity for the children to make friends and chill out after a busy day at school.  We have a wide variety of equipment for all ages both inside the Play Centre and in the secure adjacent play area outside.

Children are collected from Thomas Hickman on foot and escorted to the Play Centre. Our staff have all received Bucks Road Safety Crocodile training and they share their traffic awareness skills with the children. Both children and staff wear high visibility vests during the walk.

Our Jonathan Page minibus is driven by a MIDAS trained driver and collects children from Turnfurlong school.

We also accept children who arrive by taxis arranged by parents or the County Council. Please note, we do not accept responsibility for the children until they have been met by a member of staff. Children must be dropped off or picked up by someone over 18 years.

Jonathan Page's Themed Months

The Jonathan Page Play Centre After School Club explore a different theme every month, allowing the children to learn new subjects, as well as finding new skills and having fun.

January is Construction Month

Children at Jonathan Page will be constructing with different materials such as wood, cardboard and junk, as well as using our giant construction kits. We will be taking apart a variety of everyday objects such as microwaves, computers and other electrical equipment and then challenging the children to re build them.

Weekly activities including:

Friday 6th January - Giant Junk Modelling Construction

Tuesday 10th January - Woodwork Session

Thursday 19th January - Household Deconstruction

Wednesday 25th January - JP Building Site

Monday 30th January - Stixx Construction

February is Back in Time Month

Walk back in time at Jonathan Page and experience day's gone by. We will be going back in time and looking at how others lived and played. The children will be playing traditional games such as Jacks, marbles and Tic Tac Toe. We will have visitors coming into the centre to show the children artefacts from the past.

Thursday 2nd February - Baking Rock cakes

Tuesday 7th February - Old Fashioned Games

Friday 24th February - Dress from the past

Monday 27th February - Clay Solitaire

As well as playing in our huge outdoor space we will be using our popular galaxy play frame, new crazy rocker bikes and having some exciting crafts and sports activities.
