School Games
Beginning in September 2011 the School Games is a structured opportunity for all school age children and young people to be involved in competitive sport.
It will have four levels of competition with intra school fixtures (level 1) leading to representative school teams that play against other schools (level 2). The local area competition winners will then progress on to a county final, which for many sports will be part of an end of term/year multi-sport event (level 3). The national multi-sport event will be an opportunity for the country’s most talented athletes to progress through the national governing bodies performance systems to represent their region at a residential event.
