AVDC’s free children’s fun day, Play in the Park, takes place on Wednesday 30 August in Bedgrove Park, Aylesbury.
From 11am until 3pm, the park will be packed with activities for young people, including bouncy castles, art and craft activities, music sessions and football coaching.
Children can also learn circus skills, try their hand at face painting and hair braiding and have a go at playing Brazilian Umbanda music on drums.
Parents, carers and children are invited to bring along a picnic to accompany the children’s entertainment. The event is suitable for young people aged three to 11 years old and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Councillor David Thompson, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “Play in the Park is an event for the whole family to enjoy. It promises to be a great way to conclude our busy programme of holiday activities and playschemes – all we need now is for the sun to shine!”
Whilst much of the entertainment is free, there will be a small charge for some activities. The Play in the Park event is part of the council’s summer school holiday programme of activities for young people across Aylesbury Vale.
