AVDC still has places available on its Christmas and New Year holiday playschemes for young people in Aylesbury.
The council’s leisure facilities team has organised the schemes in the school holidays to cater for children aged five to 13 years old.
There’ll be a wide variety of arts, crafts, sports and games on offer at the Jonathan Page Play Centre (Meadowcroft), as well as many other physical and creative activities.
Playscheme places are available on 27, 28 and 29 December and 2 and 3 January. Sessions are available from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
Prices range from £8.50 to £15, with concessions for members of the council’s Passport to Leisure scheme.
Councillor David Thompson, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “The playschemes provide a challenging environment for young people. The experienced and enthusiastic staff respond to each individual child's interests and needs, organising stimulating and enjoyable activities which benefit everyone.
“The aim of the scheme is to ensure that young people have as much fun as possible. Parents can relax knowing that their children are taking part in constructive activities and can perhaps take advantage of a little spare time to visit the post Christmas sales.”
Parents can drop in on the day if they want their children to attend or book places in advance. For more information, please contact the Jonathan Page Play Centre (Meadowcroft) on 01296 426139 or email jpplaycentre@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk
