Tuffail Hussain is the new Member for the Gatehouse District Ward. The turnout was 24% with votes cast as follows:

The political composition of the Council remains unchanged at 30 Conservative, 25 Liberal Democrat and 4 Independent members.
 
Vivienne Young was elected as town councillor for the Ward. The turnout was also 24% with votes cast as follows:
