The first stage of public consultation on the Local Development Framework draws to a close on 14 July.
Questionnaires were included in the consultation booklets produced by Aylesbury Vale District Council called Your Views Matter. Please return your comments using the Freepost address so that they arrive at the council offices by 4.45pm on Friday, 14 July. You still have time to download the consultation booklet from the website: www.aylesburyvledc.gov.uk
If you wish to be kept informed, and stay involved, please let us have your name and address along with your comments.
The high profile consultation was launched at the beginning of June to invite residents to have their say on the issues and options for growth around Aylesbury. There were exhibitions in Aylesbury, Buckingham, Winslow, Wendover and Haddenham, which attracted over 1500 visitors. More than 350 stakeholders received their own copies of the consultation booklet through the post, and supplies have been given out on request to parish councils and local event organisers who have publicised the consultation in their own villages.
A shorter version of the exhibition has been on display in the planning reception area of AVDC High Street Customer Service Centre.
Responses from the public will be analysed and the findings will influence how the council identifies some preferred options for growth in the core strategy and the allocated sites around Aylesbury town.
These documents, the first in the collection that will form the LDF, will trigger another round of public consultation, probably in the early part of 2007. The process and the timetable for the production of the documents and the required public consultations are determined by the Government Office for the South East.
