By-elections will be held on 27 July, 2006 to fill vacancies in the Gatehouse Ward on both the District Council and Aylesbury Town Council. This ward was formerly represented by Terry Sherwin.

If you would like to stand in either election candidates’ information packs can be obtained from the Electoral Section on (01296) 585050.  Nomination papers must be submitted to the Electoral Section at the Council’s Friars Square Offices, 4 Great Western Street, Aylesbury, HP20 2TW by noon on 30th June, 2006.

Electors who are unable to attend a polling station can apply to vote by post, or appoint someone they know to vote for them as a proxy.  Applications for postal votes must be received by 5.00 pm on 12th July, 2006 and for proxy votes by 5.00 pm on 19th July, 2006.
