Residents of Aylesbury Vale are advised that there are no local elections for district councillors this year.

Many areas in the country do have local elections on 4 May but Aylesbury Vale does not. The next scheduled elections for district councillors will take place in May 2007.

Leslie White, Head of Administration, said: "A number of residents have called our customer services team to ask why they haven't received ballot papers. There aren't any elections due in Aylesbury Vale until next May for the district council, and until 2009 for the county council."
