Local businesses are being invited to send in their good news stories to a new, exciting electronic newsletter produced by Aylesbury Vale District Council.

The e-newsletter, titled Vale Economy, is part of the council’s support to local businesses. It is designed to keep the local business community informed and up to speed with the major changes, initiatives and events happening in the district that are of relevance to business.

The second issue of Vale Economy is now available online and includes articles on the redevelopment of Aylesbury town centre, the Business Excellence Awards and the council’s entrepreneurs campaign. There is also information about the Train to Gain programme, which helps businesses identify training needs for their staff, and a calendar of networking and training events available between November and January.

Vale Economy will be distributed on a quarterly basis and is available on free subscription to all business owners in the district.

Councillor Peter Cooper, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, is encouraging businesses to contribute to the newsletter. “With the growth agenda bringing almost 25,000 new jobs and homes to Aylesbury Vale over the next 25 years, considerable opportunities will be created locally. The e-newsletter is designed to help businesses find out about and take advantage of these opportunities,” he said.

“If you have any suggestions for future content, please get in touch with the council’s economic development team. We will be happy to publicise your good news stories,” he added.

Businesses are encouraged to send their comments, feedback and story ideas to mcaldbeck@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk
