If you want to find out about all the exciting developments happening in Aylesbury www.aylesburyvibe.info is the place to go. A joint project between Aylesbury Vale Advantage, Aylesbury Vale District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council, the aim of the website is to bring together, on a single website, key information about development works in and around Aylesbury.
Greg Lomax, Managing Director of Aylesbury Vale Advantage, said, “Over the next few years, Aylesbury will undergo a transformation and, inevitably, there will be some disruption along the way. This website is the outcome of all the partner organisations working together to co-ordinate the development of Aylesbury, with a view to minimising disruption while these improvements take place. One particularly useful feature of the website is that you can sign up for a weekly email news bulletin that will let you know what to expect in the coming week, including road works. We can’t take away the pain of being stuck in a traffic jam but, armed with the right information, people may be able to plan their journeys differently and avoid the traffic hot spots.”
The website brings together information about the new housing developments in Aylesbury, the new public transport hub (Connecting Aylesbury), rail improvements and business development opportunities. As well as being useful for people living in Aylesbury, it’s thought that local employers will also find the site helpful for both employees getting to and from work, as well as directing company vehicle movements in and out of Aylesbury.
And not only can you find out about developments and road works, but the site also features access to a range of publications issued by the partner organisations, links to other useful websites and there’s an events listing for key town centre events.
The website itself has been designed by local company, Smooth Design, based in Walton Street, Aylesbury.
