Residents can have their say on local issues at the annual Buckingham Town Forum on 4 October.

Anyone with an interest in the Buckingham area, including residents, businesses and young people, will be welcomed to this public meeting.

The event has been organised by the Buckingham Partnership, a coalition of representatives from the public, private and community sectors who are committed to working together for the benefit of Buckingham.

At the meeting, there will be an opportunity to hear about the work of the Partnership and to find out how the Buckingham Community Plan is progressing. Members of the Partnership will also be ready to discuss local issues and to listen to feedback from residents about any concerns they may have.

The suggestions and themes from the forum will be fed back into the members of the Partnership and also help to establish priorities for the group to work on in the coming year.

The meeting will be chaired by the Mayor of Buckingham, Councillor Paddy Collins, who will also be announcing the results of the Buckingham in Bloom Awards and presenting prizes to the winners.

Norman Skedge, Acting Chairman of the Buckingham Partnership, said: “The Partnership cannot tackle everything on its own and we do not have the monopoly on good ideas. We need the support and guidance of local people to generate debate and let us know what is important, so we can look to focus the work of the Partnership on these issues.”

The Buckingham Town Forum will be meeting on Wednesday 4 October at the Buckingham Community Centre in Cornwalls Meadow. The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
