At a meeting of Aylesbury Vale District Council’s cabinet on 26 June, members agreed that the first draft Development Plan Documents in the emerging Local Development Framework (LDF) should be cleared for public consultation.

The two documents in question detail the council’s Preferred Options for the Core Strategy and Aylesbury Allocated Sites.

However, this decision will now be referred to the Environment Scrutiny Committee, under the council’s call-in procedure, for further debate.

The Environment Scrutiny Committee will meet on 9 July and pass its recommendations to the cabinet for consideration at a special meeting which will take place on 11 July. The final decision on the content of the LDF documents rests with cabinet.

Arrangements are already in place to invite the public to comment on these Development Plan Documents once they are agreed. The statutory six week consultation period begins on 19 July and continues until 30 August. The full consultation documents will be available from Customer Service Centres in Aylesbury, Buckingham and Winslow, or from local libraries.

On request a copy will be sent to you by post or you can download the full documentation with response forms from the website www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk/LDF  If you have any questions please telephone 01296 585439 or email avldf@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk

The consultation documents will also be available at a series of public exhibitions. The first will be in Friars Square, Aylesbury, from Thursday 19 July to Saturday 21 July. Then a mobile exhibition will visit Buckingham (Cornwalls Meadow), Haddenham (Banks Park), Stoke Mandeville (Eskdale

Road), Winslow (Market Square) and Wendover (Manor Waste). All the exhibitions will be open between 10am and 5.30pm with the exception of Stoke Mandeville which will be open between 12 noon and 7pm.
