Many council services will be represented at the county show

Information about council services in Aylesbury Vale will be on offer at this year’s Bucks County Show on 28 August.

Aylesbury Vale District Council will have a marquee at the event and staff will be on hand to answer questions and give advice.

Many council services will be represented, including: housing, refuse and recycling, planning, environmental health, concessionary travel and leisure.

Visitors to the marquee will have the chance of winning £126.04 – the average yearly council tax bill for AVDC services – by collecting key messages from different displays.

There will also be crafts for children, quizzes, giveaways and a number of games, including a Nintendo Wii challenge. All these activities are located at stand EL12 on Avenue E.

Councillor Michael Edmonds, Deputy Leader of AVDC, said: “The Bucks County Show is an event which is widely supported by the local community and it's good to be able to show the county at its best to visitors from further afield. I would like to wish this year’s show every success and would hope that local residents visiting the event will take the opportunity to visit the council’s marquee. The show enables us to demonstrate some of the vital public services we provide for the people of the district.”

The Bucks County Show takes place at Weedon Park, near Aylesbury, from 8am to 6pm. Tickets bought on the day of the event will cost £10 for adults, £8 for senior citizens, £6 for children, and £26 for families (two adults and two children).
