No by-election for parish council seats

A by-election for new parish councillors in Wendover will not take place, Aylesbury Vale District Council announced today (12 June).

Nominations have not exceeded the seats available, so candidates who put themselves forward are elected unopposed.

The parish council seats became vacant after the resignations of nine parish councillors in May. A by-election was due to take place on 3 July, but will now not go ahead.

The newly declared parish councillors are: Preeta Cooley; Sadia Hersant; Sue Hetherington; Sue Manners; Alan Myers; Chris Richards; Karen Saunders; Cheryl Stamper; and Stephen Worth. The councillors will take up their posts on 4 July.
