Councillor Netta Glover, Chairman of the Council, hopes people will join her at two events to raise money for the Chairman’s charities.
A quiz will be held at the Civic Centre on Friday, 11 April at 7.30 for 8 pm. There will be a hot supper and a licensed bar. Tickets cost £10 per person including supper. It will be a lighthearted evening with prizes for the winners and losers. You can register your team of up to six people by phoning Sally Missen on 01296 585009 or by emailing smissen@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk.
To celebrate St George’s Day a special dinner is being held at Hardings Restaurant, Aylesbury College on Wednesday 23 April at 7 for 7.30 pm. Hardings Restaurant enjoys a high reputation for its food and past students from the college are now cooking at top restaurants throughout the country. Tickets are £25 per person and will include a traditional, English three-course meal with wine. For further information or to reserve tickets, please contact Sally Missen on 01296 585009.
All profits from the evenings will go to the Scannappeal fund to raise money for cardiac equipment at Stoke Mandeville and the Friends of Bierton Hill Centre, who raise money to provide extra facilities and outings for the adults with learning difficulties attending the centre.
Councillor Netta Glover said “I hope people will be able to join me at one or both events, to have fun and at the same time raise money for two very deserving local causes.”
