Learn what not to wear at style event
Ladies can discover how to make the most of their appearance at a special charity event in Aylesbury next month.
The Chairman of Aylesbury Vale District Council, Councillor Netta Glover, will host an image consultancy evening for women on Thursday 12 June at the Civic Centre. First Impressions Image Consultancy is running the event to raise cash for the Chairman’s chosen charities.
Image consultant Linda Balint will give advice on how to choose the best clothing shapes and designs to flatter your body shape. She will also show how to combine colours and textures and look at how to accessorise so that you never make that fashion blunder at an all important party.
All profits from the evening will go to Scannappeal, which raises money for heart equipment at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, and the Friends of Bierton Hill Centre, who raise money to provide extra facilities and outings for the adults with learning difficulties who attend the centre.
Chairman of the Council, Councillor Netta Glover, said: “This event promises to be a great success because not only will people be able to support these well deserving charities, they will be treated to a fantastic night out at the same time.”
Linda Balint added: “You will have a fabulous evening. These events are great fun and women come away with a great knowledge of themselves and a renewed self confidence.”
Tickets are £20 each, which will include a glass of wine and nibbles. Please call the Chairman’s PA, Jan Roffe, on 01296 585009 to book your place. Doors open at 6.30pm for 7pm.
