Aylesbury Vale District Council is to hold a multi-sport camp for eight to 14-year-olds in Buckingham next week.

Running between 24 and 26 August at the Buckingham School in London Road, the camp will take in all kinds of sporting activities from basketball to cricket, all carried out by fully trained coaches.

Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. There are only 35 places available, so anyone wanting to take part is advised to book in advance.

Councillor David Thompson, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “Multi-sports encourages everyone to take part in the activities as you don’t have to have a particular level of skill to join in. Not only does it give children something to do over the summer break, but also promotes staying active and healthy.”

Each day lasts from 10am until 4pm. A packed lunch is needed by everyone taking part along with drinks and items such as sun tan lotion, hats and water.

The cost of attending the whole course is £30 or £15 for Passport to Leisure card holders. To find out more about the camp or to book a place visit www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk/doit or call 01296 585301.
