New parish councillors elected in Watermead

A by-election was held in Watermead yesterday (13 August) to vote in two new parish councillors.

Four candidates contested the election, which was called after two councillors resigned.

Lisa Smith, of Kestrel Way, and Eric Rose, of Sandpiper, were elected onto the parish council.

The final results were:

Lisa Smith – 173 votes (elected)
Eric Rose – 152 votes (elected)
Hany Girgis – 84 votes
Adrian Schwab – 80 votes

The total voter turnout was 16.3 per cent. Aylesbury Vale District Council was responsible for conducting the election.
